Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel Chicago

An exciting new addition to the great American skyline of Chicago — a city that has always celebrated architecture.

The contemporary Radisson Blu Aqua is a breath of fresh air in hotel design. It is located in an 81-story Chicago skyscraper that stands out both from Lake Michigan and its immediate neighborhood. Located in a city with tremendous architectural heritage, this project has garnered multiple awards by both the local and greater architectural community. 

The hotel was designed by Jeanne Gang, of the Chicago architectural firm Studio Gang, in a joint venture with Loewenberg & Associates. The building derives its wavy, undulating appearance from the varying shape and depth of the balconies. In addition to the obvious visual effect of the projecting terraces, they also serve as sun shades, minimizing direct sunlight into the building without sacrificing views. True synchronicity of architecture and engineering!

The Radisson Blu Aqua occupies the first 18 floors of the residential tower and offers 334 guest rooms and suites. All the guest rooms are “arty,” spacious and contemporary, spacious, and all have views either of Lake Michigan, downtown Chicago or Millenium Park.

The distinctively modern and high-energy Filini Restaurant is a popular dining spot for guests and Chicagoans. Filini offers authentic Italian cuisine in a lively, award-winning setting. The bar shares the design of this spectacular space and is equally inviting.

Meeting and event facilities range from the executive board room to the grand Atlantic Ballroom with its 20-foot ceiling height and floor-to-ceiling windows.

The Health and Fitness Center features a running track, basketball court, indoor pool, and the environmentally friendly “lifestyle garden.” The project is a LEED-registered green building and is pursuing Silver certification.
