LA's hugely successful mega sports and entertainment complex, LA Live, has its silver lining — the LEED Silver Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles
Downtown Los Angles became re-ignited with the development of the hugely successful sports and entertainment complex, LA Live. LA Live features the Staples Center sports arena, Nokia Theater, host to the annual Primetime Emmy awards, and the Grammy Museum. This is Hollywood, and there are also several places to shop, dine in style, and host private parties. Add to this complex the combined anchor hotel and residential complex: the JW Marriott hotel, and the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Residences. The Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles has earned the noteworthy LEED Silver Certification for its outstanding sustainable design.
Built in 2010, both the Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott hotels occupy a single 54-story tower. The top 25 floors of the tower are condominiums. The steel-framed tower is enclosed with energy-efficient reflective glass in varying shades of blue and grey. The glass patterns and surface colors provides a rich, glittering appearance, enhanced with a unique exterior lighting scheme.
The Ritz-Carlton has 123 rooms including 13 suites and the Ritz-Carlton Suite. The guest rooms are typically light-filled, contemporary spaces designed in timeless elegance that is the heart of Ritz-Carlton. There is a separate section of Club rooms that occupy the higher floors and have private access and concierge services.
You can choose from several restaurant options, located either in the Ritz-Carlton or the JW Marriott. The premier restaurant, WP24, offers a contemporary twist on Chinese cuisine, created by longtime chef to the stars, Wolfgang Puck, and his “Chef de Cuisine”, John Lechleinder. For those who prefer contemporary California style, there is LA Market by Kerry Simon, located on the ground floor. Also on this level are the Glance Wine Bar, Mixing Room cocktail lounge, and an Illy espresso café.
The Ritz-Carlton Spa occupies over 8,000 square feet and provides “one stop shopping” for VIP guests attending the events and ceremonies at LA Live, or for anyone who wishes they were…
Meeting and event spaces are available in varying sizes and settings, from the executive boardroom with state-of-the-art technology, to wind-sheltered outdoor terraces overlooking the lights of Downtown LA, to three grand ballrooms. On-site catering is offered for all meetings and events, and there is a private dining room catered by WP24.
